Forever21 + Etc. Back to School Clothing Haul~!

Hey Guys~!

Sorry for the lack of posts recently. My computer broke and I just started school. I'm trying my best to manage my time with school, blogging, and work. But I promise I'll get better at it °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖° Anyway I thought that today I'd share with you the clothes that I bought for school. It's mostly from Forever21, which is one of my favorite stores, but I did get a few other things from random other stores. So let's start~~!

I'll start with the stuff I got at Forever21. When I bought everything, they had a deal that if you spent $50 or more, you would get $10 back in store credit for a future purchase. I'm not sure if that's still available, but if it is you should definitely get some stuff if you like their clothes.

The first thing I bought were some high-waisted jeans. I had wanted a pair like these for a while now, but everywhere I looked they either were too expensive or they didn't look right on me. Thankfully I just have to hem these, since my legs are really short and there aren't different lengths offered. But besides that they look and fit really nicely.

Next thing I got is this skirt. It is a circle skirt, which looks really flattering on so many body types. This one is totally my style, since I'm a floral addict. The roses are different shades of dusty pink or mauve and I really like that the pattern has a bit of a vintage feel.

To wear with that skirt, I just got a pale pink camisole that matches the colors in the flowers. It has a slight v neckline, but it's not super low or anything. Also I'm happy to say that these are see thtough, you guys have no idea how many see through ones I have and how much I hate them.

In the fall / winter I like wearing comfy shirts with leggings and boots. Even though I'm not a huge fan of tribal print, I really like this shirt. The color scheme has a lot of warm tones, which I thought would be great for fall. It's super soft and feels light weight too.

Lastly from Forever21 I got this cardigan. I absolutely love wearing cardigans, and prefer them to be a bit over-sized. This one is perfect for fall and winter. It's a light cream color with black detailing. I think that this would look great with a lot of things and that it could be either dressed up or down.

These two things I got were from Betsy Johnson, and I love her designs. Both of what I got were impulse buys, but I know I will end up wearing them a ton.

The first is this cream and black colored wallet. It's so cute~! I love the stripes, the studs, and the scalloped detailing. The inside has a lot of pockets for cards, cash, and coins, which I also really like. It's a nice sized wallet, but it's small enough to fit into a majority of my purses.

The other thing I got is the matching purse. I know, I really need to stop shopping~!?!?! This bag has the same color scheme and detailing as the wallet. I really like that it has a cross body strap and smaller ones, so I can wear the bag however I like.

So that's everything I bought for my Back to School season. If you want a look book or a review on anything I bought, let me know in the comments below. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

August Favorites 2014~!

Hey Guys~!

It's the end of August, meaning I start school soon ;_; Even though I'm not looking forward to it, I thought I'd try and enjoy my last few days of summer by writing a favorites post. That may not sound like the most exciting way to spend a summer day, but it's raining now so I can't do really anything. So let's start~~!

Makeup

This month I don't really have many makeup favorites, I only have three. The first one is the Milani Bella Eyes Eyshadow in the color #16 Bella Champagne. I did recently post a review on it, so {click here} to check it out. It's a really pretty rose gold color, which looks great on its own or in a complete eye look.

The second makeup favorite I have is the Anastasia Brow Wiz and I'm in the color Soft Brown. I'd heard a lot of great things about this on YouTube, so I thought I'd give it a try. It has a spoolie on the end to brush out my brows and the pencil is really nice and applies smoothly.

Lastly I have a lip product, and it's something that I showed in my Korean Cosmetics Haul, {click here} to check it out, and it's the Etude House Fresh Cherry Lip Tint in Cherry Lavender. It looks kind of intimidating, but it's not that purpley on your lips. On me it makes kind of a berry or purple toned pink, and I love it~~!

Perfume
Well it's more like a body spray and not a perfume, but what sounds better perfume or body spray?? Anyway I've been in love with the Bath and Body Works spray in the scent Paris Amour. According to their website, this scent contains three layers of fragrances. The first has Sparkling Mandarin, Petite Strawberry, Sparkling Pink Champagne, and Apple Blossoms. The second has Luscious Peach, Jasmine Petals, French Tulips, and Water Lily. The last one has French Vanilla, Coconut Milk, Amber Wood, Sandalwood, and Creamy Musk. All of these blend together to create a beautiful scent that if you can, you should give it a sniff.

Skin Care
I haven't had any really bad breakouts, but I've gotten one or two bad pimples here and there. This month I found a great spot treatment that I'm now in love with. It's the CVS brand Acne Spot Treatment. If you can't get this, the one from Clean and Clear is exactly the same. I'll put this on my blemishes after washing my face at night and when I wake up, they are smaller or gone.

Anime / Manga

Towards the end of the month I started an anime called Terror in Resonance. I know that this just started recently, but it's amazing. The animation and soundtrack are absolutely beautiful. It's about an alternate version of present day Tokyo, which is being attacked by a terrorist group called Sphinx. The members are two teenage boys, named Nine and Twelve, who now want to take revenge on the world that has tormented them. It's unlike any anime I've ever watched and have instantly been drawn to it. If you haven't started this anime you need to~!!

I did also start a manga this month and it's Fairy Tail. I did try watching the anime, but I hate watching long shows, so I thought I'd read the manga instead. I love it~! <3 I'm all caught up and just read the newest chapter, which had my favorite couple in it kissing~!!!! (I'm such an awkward fangirl -.-")

Movies

Guardians of the Galaxy was AMAZING~!?!?! If you haven't seen this movie yet, go see it now! It's a superhero movie, but it balances the action and the comedy really well. I loved all the characters, especially Groot.

So those were my favorites for the month of August. I'd really appreciate it if you told me some of your favorites from this past month in the comments below. I hope you all had an awesome summer~! Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

August Favorites 2013~!

Hey Guys~!

It's already the end of August ;_; School starts in two weeks for me, so I won't be able to post as often as I do. But I'll try to.

Anyways I'm going to show you guys my monthly favorites. I have a bunch of stuff to tell you guys about so let's get started~!

Makeup

Like last month, I've been into wearing light, natural looking makeup. Although I did try experimenting with some new products and techniques.

I've been loving my Skin79 B.B. Cream this month. I haven't worn any foundation this month because I like this so much. It has SPF 25 PA++ which is great since I burn easily. It feels light and applies well with either my hands or a damp sponge for a natural skin finish. It doesn't conceal too much though, but I don't mind that in the summer. If you want to hear more about this B.B. Cream, I did a review on it here.

When I was on vacation, I had an uneven tan, so I used bronzer on my face. This one is by NYC and it's their Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in the shade #720A Sunny. What I like about this is that it's a matte bronzer, so it looks more natural. Also it's extremely affordable. If you're pale like me, you can use this as contouring. But you have to be light handed with it or else it'll look like a huge mess.

My eyebrows were waxed incorrectly a few weeks ago, so I've been filling them in. What I use is the Milani Brow Fix Kit in the shade #1 Light. It comes with two brow powders, a taupe and a brown, a highlighting powder, a sponge applicator, an angled brush, and a mini tweezers. I've just used a mix of the two powders to fill in the sparse areas and I like how it looks.

I haven't been into eyeshadow a lot this month, but I have been tight lining and lining my waterline. For my tight line I've been using Rimmel Scandaleyes in #4 Taupe and for my waterline I've been using Rimmel Scandaleyes in #5 Nude. I talked about Nude in my last favorites post and I talked about both of these in my drugstore makeup kit.  They are both super creamy and pigmented. Also they last really well because they are waterproof.

For lips I've been wearing a lot of different Revlon products. My favorite though is the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in the shade #25 Sweetheart. It's a bright, kind of electric, pink which I like for the summer. It smells minty and applies smoothly. I don't build up the color too intensely though for everyday, but it still adds a nice pop of color.

Skin Care

Before applying my makeup, I've been using the Clean and Clear Morning Burst Hydrating Gel Moisturizer.  I'd been searching for a moisturizer for a while and when this came out, I decided to try it. It comes with 3 oz of product and is oil-free. It feels light and moisturizing without being too greasy. I love how soft it makes my skin feel and I do think it makes a great base for makeup.

I broke out really badly this month, so I tried a lot of facial cleansers. The one that cleared up my skin and I've loved in the past was the Neutrogena Rapid Clear Foaming Scrub. It comes with 4.2 oz of product and contains 2% Salicylic Acid.  It is nothing like any other face wash I've tried before. At first it feels like a scrub with all the beads. But if you rub it in more with water it foams up and turns into more of a cleanser than a scrub. I like a lot of products from the Rapid Clear line, but this is one of my favorites.

My last skin care favorite is my new exfoliating mask. It is the Freeman Feeling Beautiful Facial Polishing Mask with Charcoal and Black Sugar. I've tried A LOT of the Freeman Masks and I love all of them that I've tried. When I saw this at my local drugstore, I knew I had to try it. It is supposed to be, according to what it says, oil absorbing and an exfoliate. I have weird skin problems in the summer, so I've been using this twice a week, on Wednesday and Saturday, to help exfoliate my skin. The texture isn't to harsh feeling which I like, since I thought that it could possibly irritate my skin. It didn't and it's been my favorite mask.

Fashion

This month I've been wearing floral printed shirts a lot. I have two that I've been wearing constantly. One of them is by Love Change and I got it at TJmaxx. It's a grey, spaghetti strap tank top with a cut out down the front, covered in an ivory lace. The flowers are pink roses with green leaves. I don't remember how much this cost since I bought it a while ago.

The other top is by the company Eyeshadow and I also got it at TJmaxx. It's a turquoise color with pink and yellow flowers. It's a spaghetti strap tank like the other one.  It's cinched in under the bust line and the top has vertical ruffles. These two tops are both casual and super comfortable.

My most reached for bag has been this plaid patchwork one from the Bass Outlet. I got it last summer and I've been wearing it a ton. I've always liked plaid and for some reason this is the only plaid thing I own. There are so many colors in the plaid that it goes with a ton of different outfits. It has a ton of pockets making it easy for me to organize my stuff in it.  I don't think it's on the website anymore, but you can probably find something similar on Amazon or Ebay.

And those are my monthly favorites. I hope you guys enjoyed the post and comment at the bottom of the post with what your favorites were this month xo

Vacation Haul~! (Clothes and Makeup)

Hey Guys~!

I got back for vacation a few days ago and I did some shopping at an outlet store, CVS, and TJmaxx. So I'm going to show you guys what I got. As I disclaimer I am not trying to brag at all. With all that said, let's get into the haul~!

So I went to an outlet store, if I remember correctly it's called Bass. I went to get a new pair of ballet flats, but I got a few more things too. The flats I got are black with little bows on them. They are super comfortable and they were 75% off (the outlet was having a HUGE sale).

I've wanted a pair of these for a long time, but everyone I'd tried on was too big. But I found a pair I liked, and it was also on sale :) I GOT MOCCASINS~! They are chestnut colored with brown laces.  What I really like about them, besides the fact they are extremely comfortable, is the floral print inside. It has red, blue, and pink flowers which look super cute. I know when I'm wearing them no one is gonna see the print, but I still like them.

The last thing I got from the outlet was this watch. I've wanted this style of watch for a while and I'm so excited to wear this. The band is fake brown leather with gold studs. The numbers are roman numerals, so I'm going to have to get used to it.

I hadn't planed to go to CVS over my vacation to buy makeup, since I thought I packed everything I needed. But I had a few problems since I forgot some things and some things broke.

I somehow forgot a lip balm, so I got the new Baby Lips in the shade, Strike a Rose. I didn't think it would be as pigmented as it was. I love the color and I can't wait to try more of the new Baby Lips.

My E.L.F. eyelash curler broke and I couldn't find a Target to buy another one at, so I got this one by TRIM. I have tried this lash curler before and I really like it. I hate weak eyelash curlers and this one works great for my lashes.

I didn't bring any nail polish, so I kind of wanted to buy a cheap one. I check a few brands but I didn't like most of the colors. I found one I liked though and it's by Wet and Wild. This is one of their fast dry nail polishes and it's in the color How I Met Your Magenta. It's a girly bubblegum pink with flecks of gold that aren't too noticeable on your nails. I put this on my nails last Wednesday while I was on vacation and it's still lasting pretty well on my nails. My only problem with this was the color was super sheer, so I had to build it up.

Last place I shopped at was TJmaxx. I wasn't planning on buying a lot, but I kind of did. . .

First thing I got was this dress. It's from the company Soprano. This dress is a deep midnight blue with very thin horizontal black stripes. The dress is form fitting and extenuates all the right places. What I love about this dress more than anything is the back. I don't know what this type of back is called but it looks like a bow and I ♥ bows. I'm not sure what I'm going to wear this dress to, but I don't have a lot of fall/winter dresses.

To go with the dress, I got this black cardigan like shrug. It's from the company Olive and Oak and I love how light it feels. It has see through horizontal stripes which blend it and the dress together and I like how it looks as an ensemble.

I'm short, okay. My whole life I've been short, so when I saw these I knew I had to get them. These are wedge heeled sneakers!!!!!! I've wanted a pair for so long, but they're always super expensive.  I got these half price and I can't wait to wear them. I've tried them on and I noticed that they not only make me taller, but make my feet look even smaller. I'm probably going to wear them like everyday of school XD

Last thing in the haul is this bag. I've wanted a Betsy Johnson handbag for a while now. Every time I find one I like it's over my budget. However I saw this one and died over it. It's a minty turquoise color with black and gold detailing. The print on the bag has hearts, gold chains, birds and flowers. The design is called, Key to my Heart. I love the pattern on the inside too. It's a warm burgundy purple with lighter purple lips and roses. This bag is nothing like any other bag I own and I absolutely love it.

I hope you guys enjoyed my haul and comment with what your favorite item was in the haul. See you in my next post xo
