Favorite Summer Lipsticks~!

Hey Guys~!

This summer I plan to experiment more with my makeup, which of course includes crazy lip colors too. Today I'll be sharing some of my favorite bold or unique lip products that I have been loving so far. If you want a full review on any of these, let me know in the comments below. So let's start~~!

Revlon Lip Butter in Sorbet
This is a lipstick I've owned for a while and recently I've been wearing it a ton. It's a bright cool toned fuchsia color, and it feels super smooth on the lips. When I don't want it to look too bold, I dab some of the product on my finger and apply it to my lips.

Etude House Cherry Tint in Lavender
This may look really intimidating, but it's actually super wearable. I naturally have really reddish pink lips, so on me, this color looks like a berry color. It is a stain, so it lasts super long on the lips without touching it up a ton.

TonyMoly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar in Juicy Orange
I don't really like orange lips on me, but this one is sheer so it doesn't look too orange. On me it looks like a warm toned coral, and it's super shiny. It looks like I applied lip gloss over it when I wear it, so sometimes I blot it for a little less shine.

Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquer in Big Bang
I have never liked red lips on myself, but this one is changing that for me. Honestly, I got this for the name because it reminded me of the K-Pop group, but it's a nice neutral toned red. You have to blot this or else you will get the color on your teeth.

Maybelline Baby Lips in Very Berry
As the name implies, this is another berry color. For a Baby Lips, this one is super pigmented, almost as pigmented as a lipstick. Because of that, I like to wear a clear gloss or balm over this so it sheers out on my lips like other Baby Lips Lip Balms.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post~! In the comments, let me know which of these lip colors was your favorite, I love hearing you guys's opinions. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

Almay Liquid Lip Balm {Blooming and Apple a Day} Review~!

Hey Guys~!

Another lip product review~!! It seems like that's be the majority of posts this month, but I really am enjoying them and I hope you guys are too. Today we'll be talking about the Almay Liquid Lip Balms. I have two of them, Blooming and Apple A Day, that I'll be reviewing for you guys. So let's start~~!

The packaging for these is pretty simple. It's a tube with a doe foot applicator, which makes the gloss super easy to apply. Each tube has 0.34 oz of product.

In the line, there are ten shades offered. I like that there is a variety of colors. They offer nudes, pinks, reds, corals, and plums. The two that I own are Blooming and Apple A Day.

Blooming appears to be a pink lip gloss, however in a swatch, it is super sheer and almost has barely and pink color. On the lips it doesn't offer much color. It does give my lips a nice shiny without being super sticky. I wear this one over a pink or a coral lipstick for extra shine.

Apple A Day appears to be a red lip gloss. In the swatch, it is much more pigmented than the other gloss. On the lips, it gives me a red tint, and is super glossy. This shade is less sticky than Blooming, which I really like. I wear this one either on its own or over Benetint.

On the Almay website, it says that these glosses and dermatologist tested, gluten free, and hypoallergenic. I really appreciate that Almay does test to see if their product is hypoallergenic, being a person with sensitive skin and multiple allergies.

Price wise, they are okay. Each one costs $5.99, and that's alright for a drugstore lip product. Of course other products are more expensive, but I don't really think they're the best lip gloss I've tried.

I think these glosses are alright. As not a huge fan of lip gloss, I do like these. However I wish the pink was more pigmented, and that both of them were less sticky. They do feel really nice and are moisturizing, which I really like. I would try some of the other shades, to see if others are less sticky and as pigmented as Apple A Day.

I hope you guys enjoyed this review~!! If you have tried these, or have a lip gloss you like that isn't too sticky, let me know about it in the comments below. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

Benefit 3 Scoops O' Sexy Set Review~!

Hey Guys~!

In my Holiday haul, {click here} to check it out, I showed this Benefit kit that my friend got me. It's got three of the tinted balms and three sample sizes of the tints. In another Benefit kit review, I talked about how much I don't like the tints. But I decided to give them a try and now here's my review. So let's start~~!

First off, the packaging for this kit is adorable. I really like how it says on the bottom, 'one for you' and 'two for me.' Also the color scheme of gold, white and pink, is really pretty. Each of the three colors inside are individually packaged, which is great if you wanted to give one out to three of your friends.

Now I'll be reviewing each of the individual colors, starting with PosieBalm and PosieTint. I really like the rose gold colored packaging for the two of them. The color of both of them is a bright pink, which I wasn't really expecting and initially had thought they would be more natural looking.

Here are swatches of the balm and the tint. . .

The balm is on the left and the tint is on the right. Looking at the swatches in person, the tint and the balm look like two different colors. The balm has a warm undertone and almost looks coral, while the tint has a cool undertone and looks like a baby pink. Also random side note, the balm smells like roses, which I really like.

On the lips, the balm is really hydrating, even without a balm underneath. However on my lips, it doesn't show up too much and offers a light tint. With the tint under the balm, there is more color pay off, but still not a lot.

Next is LolliBalm and LolliTint. Again I like the packaging of these, and the little candies on them are super cute looking. The color they are is an orchid purple, which may look intimidating to some people. I was really excited to try this color and see how it looked on me.

Here's a swatch, balm on the left and tint on the right. . .

The color is identical for these, and the pigmentation is nicer than I expected. And when I was cleaning off the swatches, the tint stayed on really well. I had the hardest time removing it, so it really does last.

On the lips, both products are more pigmented that the Posie ones. The tint itself is very pigmented and will create a beautiful orchid lip on it's own. The balm adds a nice shine and it does last a long time. If you've never tried this type of lip color, I'd try this because it is really build-able, and can be really sheer at the same time.

Lastly is the BeneBalm and the BeneTint. Both of these are the red colors, and they are neutral toned reds. The packaging is quite simple, but I am a sucker for polka dots, so I really like this one too. I don't wear red lip colors too often, since I think they look really bad with my skin tone and everything, but like LolliBalm and LolliTint, I was excited to try something new.

Here are the swatches, balm on the left and tint on the right. . .

If you're not a red lip person, like me, this is perfect for you. It's not bold like a red lipstick, but it gives a sheer red color that looks really nice. Recently I've been wearing it for my gradient lip that I wear to school. It lasts all day and it doesn't flake off or anything.

My friend bought this for me, and on the box it says it cost $42, but my friend said she got it for less. However the only place you can purchase this specific kit is on Amazon for around $60. So if you want to try out any of these products, just get a sample size or full size at either Sephora or Ulta. The balms individually cost $18 and a full size of one of the tints is $30. But the tints are often in little kits or sample sets for much less.

I love this kit~! The colors are really nice and I've been wearing all of them. I recommend them if you're looking for a good quality lip tint and tinted lip balm. Also Benefit does some of the nicest packaging and I just love all of it. I do wish this was still available to purchase, but they'll probably have something similar next holiday season.

I hope you guys enjoyed this review~! If you have any questions or would like to see an everyday makeup routine, since I haven't done one in forever, let me know in the comments below. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint {Lavender and Coral} Review~!

Hey Guys~!

In my February Favorites I talked about how much I liked the Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint in the color Lavender. I've had them for a while and have been testing them out. The shades that I'm reviewing are the limited edition ones, so I'm not sure where you can get these. So let's start~~!

I love the packaging for these!! It's so cute and I like the size of it. It doesn't take up a lot of space in my purse. The design isn't like any lip product I own, with its unique shape. Also I like that it has a doe foot applicator, which makes it really easy to apply.

These two are the limited edition shades of the Fresh Cherry Tints from Etude House. There are four other shades from their original line, which are less bold colors. These two colors are called OR202, which is the orange one, and PP501, is the purple one.

On the Etude House website, they promise that this product will be moisturizing, provide a nice shine, and that it's build-able. I tested out all of these claims before writing my review, so let's start with the moisture in the formula.

Before that, let's talk about pigmentation, both as a swatch and on the lips. First, here are swatches on my wrist. When first applied, they have a liquid looking shine and are very vibrant. When it's blended out, the color is still vibrant, but less pigmented.

My natural lip color is a muted red/pink, and if your lips aren't the same color as mine, you may have different color results. On the lips, the orange appears to look more like coral and the purple looks more like a berry color. I do like how both of them look, but I wish they stayed more true to color.

I have slightly dry lips, mainly cause right now it's winter and freezing cold where I live. If I apply this without a balm underneath, I do feel like my lips are softer, but I can see some of the product bunching up in the cracks of my lips when they're dry.

I got the two of them for around $6.99 and I think that's a really good price. I did try to search online to see where it's still available if you guys are interested in it, and I found it on Ebay for the same price I paid with free shipping. I think it's a really good price for two lip products and it's not too expensive if you're buying this to test out different colors.

I absolutely love these lip tints~!! They are just as good, if not better than the American lip tints/stains I've tried. I definitely want to try some of the other colors and some more products from Etude House. I really am impressed with these and am not looking forward to the day I use them up.

I hope you guys enjoyed this review. If you have any products you can recommend me from Etude House, or any questions, leave them for me in the comments below. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

Korres Lip Butter in Pomegranate Review~!

Hey Guys~!

I have another review for you guys on a product I've mentioned many times before and this is the Korres Lip Butter. Now if you've been reading my blog for a long time, you would know how much I love tinted lip balms and this one is no exception. So let's start~~!

The packaging for this is pretty simple, a container with a screw on lid. I don't know if it's just mine, since I haven't read many other reviews on this, but the cap for mine sometimes gets stuck and it's really hard to open it sometimes.

There are seven colors available on the Korres website, and there is a nice range overall. I chose Pomegranate because I like the pink/coral tint.

Here's a swatch . . .

It is a lip butter, so isn't supposed to be as pigmented as a lipstick. However it is much more pigmented than I expected it to be. I really do like the color and the texture is really unique. It's almost like a jelly consistency, similar to the Holika Holika Aqua Jelly B.B. Cream. It applies on very smoothly and I do find the formula to be very moisturizing.

The price for one of these is $12, which for this quality a product, I think is really good. I have had it for a while and I haven't really made a dent in it. Some drugstore lip products that are this nice a quality are around this price, and it is one of the less expensive high end lip products, so overall I do think the price is reasonable.

Texture: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Overall: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

I really, really like this product. If you have the money for it, I'd definitely recommend it. There is a color I think for everyone, and if you have chapped lips like me, then this lip butter will not only moisturize them, but also give them color. I do want to get some of the other colors from this line, since I really enjoy it.

I hope you guys enjoyed this review. If you've tried any of the other shades the Korres lip butters come in, suggest it in the comments below and maybe I'll try it out. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

Favorite Fall Lip Colors~!

Hey Guys~!

This fall I've been experimenting with new lip colors. I usually wear a tinted lip balm or a natural lip color, but I've recently begun trying new colors and combinations out. All of these products are from the drugstore and range in price from $2 - $8. So let's start~~!

MUA Lip Stain in Rose
I know I've talked about this a ton on my blog and written a review, {click here} to read it. But I really can't stress how great this is. On its own or on top of any of the other colors in the post, it looks great. It's a light rosy mauve color and I really can't talk enough about it.

Elf Matte Lip Stick in Tea Rose
I usually hate matte lip sticks, since I find them too drying. However Elf's formulation on these is great. The color Tea Rose is a dusty purple mauve, that may not look the best on every skin tone. It can make you look a little lifeless, but it's only $3 so if it doesn't look right then you aren't wasting a ton of money. I personally really like how it looks with my fair skin.

Wet and Wild Balm Stain in Lady and the Vamp
I'll admit, I initially bought this cause I loved the name. But the color is really nice too. It's a plum berry color, but it isn't too dark or bold like other berry lip sticks. If you're afraid about drying deeper colors, I'd definitely try this one out.

Revlon Lip Butter in Peach Parfait
This one is a little more muted than the others. It's a neutral warm toned brick red color with a gold sheen. The formula is really moisturizing and pigmented, which I really like. It is the most expensive out of the colors here, so keep that in mind when purchasing.

Wet and Wild Lip Stick in Cherry Picking

I'd say that this is the boldest of the five. Cherry Picking is a cool toned berry color, and it's super pigmented. And it lasts a really long time, even with makeup remover I struggle to get this off. But it's a really pretty and fun color to wear.

So those were my five favorite fall lip colors. If you want a full review on any of these, let me know in the comments below. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

TonyMoly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar {#05 and #06} Review~!

Hey Guys~!

In my Korean and English cosmetics haul, {click here} if you haven't seen it yet, I showed these TonyMoly Bunny Gloss Bars. Before purchasing them, I'd heard tones of great things and read a ton of reviews on them, all with positive opinions. Even so I still thought it would be good to get my own review out, just cause I really wanted to. So let's start~~!

Like everyone else, I absolutely adore the packaging. It's super cute. Each shade has a different face on it, which I thought was a unique detail used. Also they're really small, which makes it great for traveling. They're about the same size or smaller than a normal pencil, so it's something I can keep in my pencil case at school and not have it take up a ton of space. Also I don't know if I just have a faulty one, but mine sometimes doesn't twist down. I have to push it down as I twist it, and cause of that it, the product has broken a few times.

On the TonyMoly website, I saw six different shades offered. But there are three other shades that I couldn't find on their website that I did see on Amazon. The two I ordered were shades #05, Juicy Peach, and #06, Juicy Orange.

http://i1357.photobucket.com/albums/q753/zoecom1/tonymolyPetiteBunnyGlossBarct08_zps00898908.jpg

Here are swatches of both of them. Juicy Peach is a sheer natural color. Juicy Orange is a sheer orange tint.

These are supposed to be the combination between a lip stick, lip balm, and lip gloss, which to me sounded pretty exciting. Having a mix of those three products makes traveling with makeup easier, since you won't have to take as many things with you to have all those purposes.

I do think these live up to that idea, however I wish they were just a little more pigmented. The peach one barely shows up on my lips, which is a shame cause the swatch is beautiful.

I loved how inexpensive these were. On Amazon they were around $1 and since I have Amazon Prime I didn't have to pay shipping. So for the two of them I paid $2, which is really great since I really like them.

Packaging:
Formula:
Pigmentation:

Overall:

I do see why everyone really likes these. They are moisturizing, have a sheer pigmentation, and create a beautiful shine, putting three products into one. However I have had issues with the technicality of the packaging, it getting jammed, and I do with it was slightly more pigmented. If you are looking for a lip product that can be worn everyday, this is great to try.

I hope you guys enjoyed this review. If you liked it, and have a suggestion for what I should review next, let me know in the comments below. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

Sephora 2014 Beauty Insiders Birthday Gift Review~!

Hey Guys~!

My birthday was a few months ago and certain stores give out little gifts to members on their birthdays. So when I went to Sephora, I received their 2014 gift containing Make Up Forever products. I've never tried anything from that company, so I thought it would be a good opportunity to sample some things and review them for all of you. So let's start~~!

The packaging is the same as any other Sephora gift, a little box. On the front it shows you the two products in the box, a mascara and a lipstick. When you read the back, it has the exact names and shades for them. I don't personally like it, it's kind of plain in my opinion.

I'll first talk about the mascara. It's the Make Up Forever Smoky Extravagant Mascara. This sample comes with 0.13 fl oz. The shape of the wand reminds me of the L'Oreal Miss Manga mascara, {click here} to read the review for it. Both have a cone shaped bristle wand. But what I don't like about this mascara, is the size of the wand. It's really big and it's hard to get all my lashes evenly.

Here's a close up picture of me wearing this mascara. Compared to my natural lashes, it gave me a lot of length and definition, but not a ton of volume.

The second product is a lipstick and it's the Make Up Forever Rouge Artist Lipstick in the color Natural N9. The sample comes with 0.05 fl oz. The color sort of reminds me of the Revlon Lip Butter in the shade Peach Parfait, but this has more pigmentation. I like the color, but it does seem a little too dark for this time of year.

Here's a swatch of the lipstick. . .

And lastly I have a picture of me both wearing the lipstick and the mascara.

 Volumization: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Overall: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

I think this gift is okay. I know that they can't give out all the expensive products, and I like the concept of these little gifts cause I enjoy trying products. But also I'd like a slight choice in the gift since I'd rather get a different lipstick color that I'd wear on a daily basis, since this one is a little dark in my opinion for the summer.

So that was my review on the Sephora 2014 Beauty Insider Birthday Gift. If you enjoyed this or have any questions, let me know in the comments below. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.
