L'Oreal Miss Manga Rock Mascara Review~!

Hey Guys~!

A while ago I reviewed the original L'Oreal Miss Manga mascara, {click here to read the review.} Recently L'Oreal came out with the Miss Manga Rock mascara, and I thought it would be great to review it and almost compare it to the original one. I've been testing it longer than I do for other products, since this review is also a comparison. I'm excited to share what I found with you guys. So let's start~~!

Like the original, I love the cute packaging. It's the same design, except instead of pink and black as the color scheme, it is yellow and black. I just wish the cute little chibi faces were on the mascara tube, cause I think the tube is boring.

This mascara promises to create overloaded lashes, meaning it should volumized them, on both the top and bottom lashes, as well as separate them. I have been testing it out for a few weeks now, and I can say it does both of those things, but not the the extent it is advertised.

The wand is different the the original Miss Manga, which is a wire brush. The Miss Manga Rock wand is plastic with short spikes. Also unlike the Miss Manga, the Miss Manga Rock isn't as flimsy or bendy.

Here's a before and after, on the left is mascara and on the right is no mascara. This mascara definitely lengthens, but I have used more volumizing mascaras, both high-end and from the drugstore.

Here's a comparison of the Miss Manga and Miss Manga Rock. On the left is the Miss Manga Rock and on the right is original Miss Manga.

I like how both of them look, but I can't choose a favorite. I like Miss Manga because it really lengthens my lashes and makes them look light and fluttery. I like Miss Manga Rock because it lengthens and thickens my lashes.

I actually got this as part of a birthday gift from one of my friends, so I didn't buy this. In my local drugstores, it costs $7.99, which is normal for a drugstore mascara. I do like this mascara enough that I would repurchase it for that price.

I really like this mascara. It does lengthen and lightly volumizes my lashes. I do wish it was more volumizing, because I've used other mascaras that are more volumizing. Other than that I think it's a really great mascara. I can use it on my bottom lashes, which is great, because usually I use two different mascaras for top and bottom lashes.

I hope you guys enjoyed today's review~! If you have tried this mascara, let me know your opinions on it in the comments below. Also I recently posted a video on my YouTube channel, and I'd love it if you checked it out, {click here} to watch it. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

Elf Mascara Primer Review~!

Hey Guys~!

My Target recently added a bunch of new Elf products to their makeup section, so of course I bought a ton of products I've never tried before. I'd heard about this on YouTube a while ago, and had been searching for it for a while. Thankfully it was at Target and so today I'll be reviewing the Elf Mascara Primer. I did a lot of testing with this product and now I'm ready to review. So let's start~~!

The packaging is the classic black packaging that the products from the Elf Studio line come from. I like the matte finish of the packaging, I just think it looks nice. In the tube there is 0.09 fl oz of product, and I don't know if that's a lot or a little for this type of product.

On Elf's website, it says that the mascara primer will lengthen and volumize lashes, and conditions the lashes so they appear thicker and stronger. You may be wondering what ingredients in this allow it to strengthen and thicken lashes, I was too, and through reading I found this product contains Vitamin B5, Hydrolyzed Wheat and Soy Protein. Vitamin B5 stimulates growth. Hydrolyzed Wheat helps retain moisture and strengthen. Soy Protein nourishes and strengthens.  I can't really say if it's made my lashes stronger, since I have no clue how to test that, but I do think they look somewhat thicker after wearing this under my mascara for two weeks.

The wand for this primer is typical of a regular mascara. It is easy to get a majority of my lashes coated, but I can't get the lashes towards the inner corner of my eye with this or my bottom lashes.

Here's a before and after on me wearing the primer underneath some mascara. . .

With Primer

Without Primer
I can see a huge difference in volume in my lashes. They don't feel really dry like the lashes without the primer do.

I haven't seem many drugstore mascara primers, so to get this Elf one for only $3 instead of spending a ton on a high end primer, is amazing~! That's why I love Elf, you can get amazing gems for such inexpensive prices.

I absolutely love this mascara primer~!! It really does make my lashes look amazing with any mascara I use. If you are looking for a mascara primer, get this one and save your money. Also if you think getting a mascara primer is a waste, just try this and you'll see a huge difference.

I hope you guys enjoyed this review. If you have tried this product, or you have another Elf product you want me to review, let me know in the comments below. Thank you guy so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

Sephora 2014 Beauty Insiders Birthday Gift Review~!

Hey Guys~!

My birthday was a few months ago and certain stores give out little gifts to members on their birthdays. So when I went to Sephora, I received their 2014 gift containing Make Up Forever products. I've never tried anything from that company, so I thought it would be a good opportunity to sample some things and review them for all of you. So let's start~~!

The packaging is the same as any other Sephora gift, a little box. On the front it shows you the two products in the box, a mascara and a lipstick. When you read the back, it has the exact names and shades for them. I don't personally like it, it's kind of plain in my opinion.

I'll first talk about the mascara. It's the Make Up Forever Smoky Extravagant Mascara. This sample comes with 0.13 fl oz. The shape of the wand reminds me of the L'Oreal Miss Manga mascara, {click here} to read the review for it. Both have a cone shaped bristle wand. But what I don't like about this mascara, is the size of the wand. It's really big and it's hard to get all my lashes evenly.

Here's a close up picture of me wearing this mascara. Compared to my natural lashes, it gave me a lot of length and definition, but not a ton of volume.

The second product is a lipstick and it's the Make Up Forever Rouge Artist Lipstick in the color Natural N9. The sample comes with 0.05 fl oz. The color sort of reminds me of the Revlon Lip Butter in the shade Peach Parfait, but this has more pigmentation. I like the color, but it does seem a little too dark for this time of year.

Here's a swatch of the lipstick. . .

And lastly I have a picture of me both wearing the lipstick and the mascara.

I think this gift is okay. I know that they can't give out all the expensive products, and I like the concept of these little gifts cause I enjoy trying products. But also I'd like a slight choice in the gift since I'd rather get a different lipstick color that I'd wear on a daily basis, since this one is a little dark in my opinion for the summer.

So that was my review on the Sephora 2014 Beauty Insider Birthday Gift. If you enjoyed this or have any questions, let me know in the comments below. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

L'Oreal Miss Manga Mascara Review~!

Hey Guys~!

Today I'll be reviewing the newest mascara from the L'Oreal Voluminous line, Miss Manga. Recently I went to the drugstore with my friend and we saw this mascara. Instantly I wanted to try it, mostly for the name cause I thought it was adorable. I've been testing it out for the past few days and I now have a clear opinion on it. So let's start~~!

Here's the packaging for this mascara. I took a picture of it off the internet because mine got damaged when I tried to open the mascara. But still I hope you all can see how cute it is. The cute little chibi characters in the background make the packaging really pretty to look at. I just wish the tube was slightly more interesting to look at, since I found it kind of bland compared to the background.

The mascara comes in a few different shades, but I got the one in Blackest Black. Also I've seen advertisements for this mascara in blue and purple. On the website this mascara claims to get those hard to reach lashes with an even application and to create over sized volume, 15x the volume.  Also it's L'Oreal's first mascara with a flexible wand.

Here's the before and after shot of the mascara. On the left is my eyelashes bare, just curled, and on the right is my lashes curled and with one coat of the mascara on my upper and lower lashes.

It gave my lashes a lot of length and volume. I really like how it made my lashes look, but I have tried other mascaras that give my lashes more volume.

The wand is unlike most mascara wands I've ever used. It has a bristle brush, which isn't like most drugstore mascaras that have a plastic or rubber brush. Also it bends which I thought would make application harder and messy. But it makes it easy to get the lashes in the inner corner and on the lower lash line.

One of the problems I have with this mascara is that there isn't a waterproof formula offered. Personally I prefer to use waterproof mascara, so I was disappointed when I couldn't find it. If you know if it exists in waterproof, please let me know in the comments.

Price wise it's okay. Most drugstore mascaras I buy around around $6 - $8. This was around $8, but plus tax made it $9. So normally I probably wouldn't have bought this. But I did have a dollar off coupon from L'Oreal, which made it to about $7.

Overall:

I think this mascara is alright. I like how it applies and the packaging. But I can't look past the fact that a waterproof option isn't offered. If you don't mind that, this product is great if you want a lengthening and volumizing mascara without spending a lot.

I hope you guys enjoyed this review. If you have any questions about the product shown in the review, leave a comment and I'll be sure to answer it. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.
