City Color Sunkissed Trio in Bronzed Peach Review~!

Hey Guys~!

I was at a store called Five Below recently, where everything is $5 or less, and of course I looked through the makeup section. They had a good variety of products, but brand wise they mainly had Wet n' Wild and City Color. I've never heard of the brand City Color before, so I decided to try something. This blush, bronzer, and highlighter trio really excited me, since I don't own anything like that and today I'll be reviewing it for you guys. So let's start~~!

The packaging for this is quite simple, a large compact with a clear lid. I do wish it had a mirror somewhere, because this could serve as a multipurpose product for traveling. But when traveling, a mirror can serve as a useful tool when rooming in a hotel with other people.

Something that I really like about this product, but I'm not sure if it applies to all the products, is that it's cruelty free. I do like finding companies that don't test on animals, and if you only use companies that are cruelty free, this might be a brand to check out.

At my Five Below there were only two shades, Bronzed Peach and Natural Nude. On the City Color website, there are two other shades, Golden and Tan. There is a nice variety in the different palettes, but I do wish the website described the finishes of the different palettes, because some people may be turned off by a product if for example it's really shimmery and they don't like shimmer.

As said in the title, I got the shade Bronzed Peach, and I just liked the colors of this one more than those in Natural Nude. The blush is a warm peachy pink with light shimmer. The bronzer is warm toned with shimmer, which I really don't like, since I'm not a fan of shimmer in my bronzer. Lastly the highlight is a golden champagne with a nice sheen.

Here are swatches of all the products. . .

The pigmentation is really great for all of these. The texture is surprisingly smooth, almost creamy, which I wasn't expecting for such an inexpensive product. It feels like my more expensive cheek products and is more pigmented than other drugstore blushes I've tried.

At Five Below, I got this for $4 but on the City Color website it is $6.99. While I am writing this, there is a sale on the website and they cost only $4.99. For the quality and quantity of the product, I think it is an amazing price.

I really was surprised by how much I like this product. Like I said before, for the amount of product and at that price, it's a great value. I am not a huge fan of shimmery products or even highlighters in general, but I have been wearing this highlighter all the time. I am interested in trying more products from this company, especially if everything else is equally as good or better.

I hope you guys enjoyed today's review~! If you have tried this brand before, leave recommendations for other products I should try from them. Also share your opinions of this product for me to read, I love hearing what you guys have to say. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

Maybelline Fit Me Blush in Medium Mauve Review~!

Hey Guys~!

I just have to rant about how much I hate this product. This will be a review, but I think it's the first review where I'll be giving a product a ZERO OUT OF FIVE~! I hope you all will enjoy reading this review, and if you've tried this product before, let me know your experiences in the comments. So let's start~~!

The packaging for this blush is pretty clunky. It did come with a small brush, but I threw it away cause it was useless. I really prefer it when I blush compact has a mirror, but this one doesn't have one.

On the back of it the blush claims to have a smooth, silky texture, oil free, won't clog pores, and dermatologist tested.

The shade I have is Medium Mauve, and I chose it hoping for a dusty mauve/rose color as it appears to look.

Let's start with a swatch. . .

Yeah, it's barely anything. I was super annoyed with the lack of pigmentation, seeing that Maybelline is one of my favorite drugstore brands. I have tried applying this blush with multiple different techniques and it always turns out looking splotchy

These blushes cost $5.99, and that really angers me. I've tried blushes, like the Elf Studio Blushes, that are cheaper and are a million times better quality. If you're going to make an awful blush with a price like that, at least give me a mirror so I can depot the blush and have a mirror to throw in my purse.

I just hate this blush~! There is nothing redeemable about it and I only have kept it to tell you guys about it. I have read the negative reviews on the Maybelline website, and from that I've decided I won't try any of the other shades.

I hope you guys enjoyed this review. If you have tried this blush out, let me know your experiences with it, especially if they're similar. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

Elf Studio Blushes {Candid Coral and Twinkle Pink} Review~!

Hey Guys~!

With all the lip product reviews recently, I decided to instead post a blush review. Well actually I'll be reviewing two different shades of blush and they're the Studio Blushes from Elf. I am a huge fan of Elf cosmetics, especially their Studio Line. Today I'll be reviewing the two colors I own and I hope you enjoy it. So let's start~~!

The packaging is quite simple, just a smooth matte black compact. When you open them, they have mirrors, but they're kind of small. I do like that the packaging isn't super clunky and bulky, making it easy to travel with these.

In the line, there are eleven different shades, ranging in color. I really like seeing a wide range of colors, so then there is something for everyone. The two I own are Candid Coral and Twinkle Pink.

Candid Coral is a muted warm toned coral color with flecks of gold and mauve shimmer.

Here's a swatch of Candid Coral . . .

The formula is a little chalky when swatching, but as you can see, it's really pigmented otherwise. The gold shimmer isn't super noticeable, which I like, and when I wear it, it gives my skin a nice glow. Because the color itself is so natural, the glow makes the skin look really healthy.

Twinkle Pink is a watermelon pink with larger flecks of gold shimmer.

Here's a swatch of Twinkle Pink . . .

The color itself I like, and it is pigmented. However there is just too much shimmer for me in the blush. There are large flecks of glitter and it is visible when you're wearing it. I hate really glittery products on my face, and the glitter really ruins this blush for me.

You can purchase these blushes at either Target or on the Elf Cosmetics website. Both places they cost $3, which is really affordable for a drugstore blush. The quality is really nice for the price, especially compared to other drugstore blushes.

I do like these blushes, but I like Candid Coral significantly more. Twinkle Pink is too glittery for me, while Candid Coral is more of a shimmery of satin finish blush. Besides that, they are well pigmented and for the price, they really are a great product. I do want to try some of the other shades, but Candid Coral for now is my favorite and I totally recommend it.

I hope you guys enjoyed this review~! If you guys have tried out the Elf Studio Blushes, let me know your opinions in the comments below. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

Benefit Dandelion Boxed Blush Review~!

Hey Guys~!

Today I'm reviewing one of my favorite blushes, the Benefit Boxed Powder in Dandelion. I have wanted to review this for a long time, and now I'm finally getting around to writing it. So let's start~~!

I absolutely love the packaging for this blush. I think it's super cute and unique compared to other blushes, that are often in compacts. The design itself is really simple, but looks nice. Also I really like that there is a mirror inside. However I am worried to travel with this since I'm not sure how sturdy it is.

There are many other boxed blushes, but I got this one because I think that the color is the most natural looking. Dandelion is a muted light pink with tiny flecks of gold, which are barely noticeable.

Here's a swatch. . .

Like I said, this is meant to be a natural blush, so it is pigmented in that sense. But if you want something bolder, than this probably isn't the blush for you. Unlike many other powder blushes I've tried, the texture is really smooth, and not really powdery at all. When I wear it, it looks very even and natural, which is really nice too.

This blush costs $28, which may sound kind of pricey. However I've often found drugstore blushes to be really bad quality. Also I don't wear blush all the time, so this will last me for a while. Therefore I think it's worth it. But if you have a favorite blush, this may not be worth it.

Pigmentation: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Texture: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Price: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Overall: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Overall I really do like this blush. I often have problems finding blushes that I do like, but this one really works for my skin tone. Also the formula doesn't look splotchy or anything like that on my skin, which I do like. So if you don't really like drugstore blushes, but want a natural one, give this a try.

I hope you guys enjoyed this review. If you've tried the Benefit Boxed Powders, let me know your thoughts on them in the comments below. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

Sleek Blush by 3 {Lace} Review~!

Hey Guys~!

Over the summer I posted a Korean and English Cosmetics Haul, {click here} to check it out, where I showed this blush palette from Sleek. I already reviewed the single blush from Sleek I got, {click here} to read it, and since I liked that one so much, I had high hopes for this palette. I've been playing around with it, and now it's ready for a review. So let's start~~!

The packaging for this is the same as Sleek's other blushes, it's a matte black compact with shiny black writing. I really enjoy how simple and classic it looks. Also I really like how large the mirror is, which is really nice.

This palette comes with three blushes, none of which you can buy individually I think. The three colors are Crochet, a warm toned matte coral, Guipure, peach with gold shimmer, and Chantilly, a matte orange.

Here are some swatches. . .

The pigmentation of these blushes is great. They can be worn lightly, but the color can be built up. For me, I have to wear them lightly. Also the texture and formulation is great. They all are smooth, and not chalky. Usually matte powders have a lack of pigmentation and texturally feel bad, but the two matte blushes are really nice. The shimmery one is nice too, the shimmer isn't too bold and it leaves a nice glow to the skin.

This palette cost around $13, which I think is really worth it. The three blushes are decently sized and the quality of the three is really nice too. There are blushes these colors and this good a quality that cost way more. And when you think about it, each blush costs around $4.30, which is cheaper than most blushes at the drugstore.

Pigmentation: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Texture: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Price: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Overall: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Overall, I really enjoy this blush palette. The colors are really nice and are well pigmented. And for the quality, it's really cost effective. I definitely want to try some of the other blush palettes from Sleek, and maybe some of their other products too.

I hope you guys enjoyed this review. If you've tried anything from Sleek, suggest it in the comments below and I may try it  out.  Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.
