How to Depot NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil~!

Hey Guys~!

I was doing my eye makeup this morning, and I tried to sharpen my NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil. But it doesn't. I then searched the internet, trying to find the best way to sharpen or depot it. Today I'll be showing you guys how I depotted my pencil. Now, this is my first time doing this, and I assume this will work. At the end of this post, we'll see how this worked out. So let's start~~!

For This You Will Need . . .
A NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil
A Small Container
Pliers
Hairdryer
*didn't include it in the picture*
Tape
A Marker

The entire process is you hold the pencil with the pliers as you heat it up with a hairdryer, and the product falls into a cup. This seems really simple.

So here's what I did. I taped my cup down to a hard surface. My container had a lid attached, so I taped that down too. If you don't do this, the container will blow away when you use the hairdryer. I turned my hairdryer to its highest setting and held the pencil using pliers. The melting process took around 15 minutes.

I then took a piece of tape and my pen to make a label for the container. This would be more useful if you were making a bunch of these, so you remember the shades of all of them.

Now, you probably want to hear my opinion on this process. I honestly thought it would be quicker. My pencil took longer to melt, compares to the other tutorials I watched. As long as you are patient, you won't find it too difficult.

Here's what the inside of the pencil looks like when all the product is melted out.

I did also swatch my melted version, and it is still as pigmented as it was in its original form. I find it significantly easier to use, because I can use either a brush or my finger to apply the product, instead of having the pencil scratch my eye.

I hope you guys enjoyed today's tutorial~! If you have tried the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils, in general or you have depotted them, share your experiences in the comments below. I love hearing from you guys, so feel free to say whatever. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.
