Totoro Nail Art Tutorial~!

Hey Guys~!

Today I have another nail art tutorial and it's inspired by one of my favorite movies ever, My Neighbor Totoro. If you have never seen this movie, you need to watch it a.s.a.p. This nail art look requires the use of some tools, but I'll give you some substitutions for those.

You'll need. . .

A base coat

A grey nail polish

A white nail polish

A black nail polish

A nude nail polish

A top coat

A dotting tool/toothpick

A thin nail art brush/toothpick

So gather all of that up and let's get started~!

First apply you base coat to protect and strengthen your natural nails. My top coat is the Calcium Gel Nail Hardener by Revlon. Wait for it to dry before applying 2 to 3 coats of a grey nail polish on your ring finger and on your other nails apply a nude polish. Both the grey and nude polish I used were in my {fall nail polishes} post.

When the grey is dry, with a white nail polish paint Totoro's stomach. I traced out the stomach with a nail art brush before filling it in with white. Apply however many coats you need so the white is opaque. With a dotting tool and the same white polish, make two dots for his eyes.

While that is drying, on the nails with the nude polish, use a grey nail polish to create a french manicure. I free handed mine, but you can either use manicure strips or make your own with tape.

After the white stomach is dry, using a nail art brush, make the marks on Totoro's stomach with a grey nail polish. I only made three but you can do however many you want.

Then using a dotting tool, make two black dots in the center of the white ones to create hit eyes. Then make a dot in between the eyes. With a nail art brush make two lines on each side to make whiskers. Apply a top coat onto each of your nails once they are dry and then you're done~!

I hope you all enjoyed this super cute Totoro nail art. Comment with any ideas for future nail art tutorials and I'll see you all at my next post xo
