I am always trying out new skin care products, and recently while shopping at Bloomingdale's, I spotted this. Basically it's a face mask that you can leave on overnight. This intrigued me, as a lover of face masks, and I've tried nothing like this before. I've used Kiehl's products in the past, but only hair care. Today I'll be reviewing this face mask that claims to have hydrating properties. So let's start~~!
The packaging is pretty plain and simple, like all of Kiehl's packaging. It's in container with a twist off lid. There are 4.2 fl. oz or 125 ml of product in each, which is a decent amount. However skin care that's packaged this way can be unsanitary. By using your fingers to get out the product, then applying it on your skin, the product is getting contaminated. So I would prefer if this was in a tube.
On the Kiehl's website this masque claims to boost hydration of your skin and leaves the skin smoother and more supple. Also it contains no silicone, parabens, fragrance, or colorant, which is great if you have sensitive skin.
Alright, now let's see if it works. Here's my skin prior to any treatment. It's a little red and dry, because it's finally getting cold where I live.
And now here's my face the next day. The redness went down and the texture of my skin is significantly smoother.
My only complaint with this is how expensive it is. This container cost $35, and the only reason I bought it is because my friend works at Bloomingdale's and she used her employee discount for me. This is the most I have ever spent on a single skin care product, and it works well, but I wish there was a cheaper alternative.

This is the best hydrating mask I have ever used. I really do notice a difference in my skin after using it. However the cost is a little much and the packaging can be unsanitary. Overall though, I really do enjoy it. My skin doesn't get irritated from it, and it really does do all it claims to do.
I hope you all enjoyed today's review~! In the comments down below, share the most expensive skin care item that you have ever bought and if you think it was worth it. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

I never heard about this brand, seems very promising :-)
ReplyDeletethis is such a thorough review!! i'm usually not too into beauty product reviews, but i loved this one! especially because you did that before and after shot of your skin. and i actually never thought of the contamination aspect of skin products that you apply with your fingers... good info(:

Thank you~! <33
DeleteI guess if the product works well and the tub size is reasonably good $35 is reasonable-yet still a little pricey for a facial mask!
ReplyDeletehaha but then again- Kiehls is a good brand! :D

Is there the possibility of using a kind of spoon to get it out?
ReplyDeletewww.lindalibraloca.com
I do use a spoon to get it out. The texture is like a gel, so it isn't too messy~!
DeleteThis sounds brilliant ! I'm also really into skincare and although it is a little on the expensive side I think for something that really works it's worth it ! I'd definitely like to give it a try :)

I have found over the years that you really do need to sometimes spend more on skincare that works for you, especially if you are dry/sensitive. This mask works so well, you can see your skin is instantly moisturised x

Oh I passed a Kiehl's the other day! My skin is super sensitive, and I have been tempted to buy their products... This review is great! :D
ReplyDeletethis sound good product, but in the package like that it will become not hygienist, maybe u can buy small spatula/ spoon to take out the product to keep it hygienist ^^

I've tried so many skin care products both high end and drugstore that it's sometimes hard to say which is better.... Expensive ones or cheaper ones? I think I'll stick to Cetaphil which a huge jar is priced at $16 and could last me for months! Sometimes a product depends on your skin type too. Skin care is really tough on the pockets sometimes especially if you have special conditions and have to get specific products.
