D.I.Y. Halloween Blood Drip Necklace~!

Hey Guys~!

Sometimes for Halloween, I like having an accessory that I can wear to school so I'm in the Halloween spirit, but not wearing a full costume. Today I'll be showing you guys how to make this blood drip necklace. It's super easy and works as a great accessory for tons of different costumes. So let's start~~!

For This D.I.Y. You Will Need . . .
Ribbon or String
Scissors
A Hot Glue Gun
Paint
Paint Brush
Wax Paper
Tape

First measure out and cut a piece of ribbon or string that fits comfortably around your neck and is long enough to tie into a bow. Mine is around 22 inches long.

Then lay out a sheet of wax paper and tape down the ribbon or string to the paper. With your hot glue gun, and if you haven't used one before or you're a child please get someone else's help, make drips along the string. Wait for the glue to dry before continuing.

Carefully, once it's dry, peal the necklace off of the wax paper. Now time to paint. I'm using an acrylic paint, since that's what I have on hand. Before painting, remove any stray strings of glue. You will need about 2 - 3 coats for it to be opaque, so let it dry.

And now you have your necklace~!!

I hope you enjoyed today's D.I.Y. After making this, I realized this could also be a cool bracelet, so I might make that now. If you tried making one for yourself, share it with me at my Facebook or Twitter, linked below. In the comments, tell me what you would like to see for my next Halloween themed post. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

I don't have wax paper, any substitute for that?

    1. Instead of wax paper, you could use thick paper, or card stock. You would have to cut the necklace out, instead of pealing it off. I hope that helped <33
