Prom Manicure~!

Hey Guys~!

I'm going to prom on Monday, and I decided to do simple nail art for it. This is just a backwards glitter gradient, and it's insanely easy to do. You could use any color of glitter polish to match your dress or your jewelry. And you don't need to wear this to prom, it's great for any special occasion or for everyday. So let's start~~!

image

For this simple nail art look you will need . . .
A Base Coat / Top Coat
Nude Nail Polish
Any Glitter Polish(es) of Your Choice

First I applied my base coat from Nailtiques and then I painted my nails with my favorite nude polish, which is Porcelain from Revlon. I applied two coats so it's opaque and let it dry.

Now for the glitter~! Because I wasn't sure what jewelry I would be wearing, I went for a more iridescent glitter. This one is Aisle Be There by Sally Hansen. Do to the gradient start by applying a light layer of glitter from the base of your nail towards the tip. Build up the intensity of the glitter in layers until you've reached a result to your liking. I wanted a little more glitter, so I am using this opalescent glitter polish from L.A. Colors and apply it focusing on the base of my nail, to further the gradient.

Lastly, once all the glitter is dry, apply a top coat to seal in the glitter and to protect your nails. And now we are finished~!!

I hope you guys enjoyed this nail art tutorial. If you try it out, share it with me on social media, or tell me in the comments below. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

30 Day Anime Challenge {Day #3 Anime Crush}~!

Hey Guys~!

I am back with Day #3 of the Anime Challenge~! Today I will be spilling my feels as I share my anime crushes. The question does ask for one, but I can't choose~!! In this post I'll tell you guys five of my anime crushes, not in any order and just know there are a million more. So let's start~~!

1.) Gray Fullbuster from Fairy Tail
Okay, he's shirtless a majority of the anime . . . and they drew him really well . . . I'm allowed a little self indulgence as a fangirl, okay~!? As a character, he's a bit of a bad boy who has a hard time dealing with other people's emotions, mainly Juvia's, but he's just so protective of the people he cares about, especially Juvia. And back to my self indulgences, he has a stripping problem and he ends up taking off his shirt . . .  A LOT~!!

2.) Tomoe from Kanisama Kiss
Thank you J Michael Tatum for giving this character the perfect voice. Tomoe is a a fox spirit who is supposed to protect the God of his shrine, Nanami. He's super protective of Nanami, which makes me just fawn over him whenever he saves her. Also he does have a soft side that he keeps hidden, which makes him just so perfect.

3.) Haruka Tenou/Sailor Uranus from Sailor Moon
The only anime girl I will ever love~! Haruka again is protective of the people she cares about, I guess I really like overly protective people . .  .Just noticed that. Anyways, I just think she's perfect. She's athletic, can fix a car, and is a magical girl~! I would be jealous of her transformation scene, but I can just live vicariously through her as she protects me.

4.) Ikuto Tsukiyomi from Shugo Chara
A violin playing, blue haired, magical boy. . . Yep they really do exist. Ikuto is just so beautiful, and like I said, he plays violin, which is my favorite instrument. I just love it when guys play instruments, I think being musically talented is really attractive. And yeah, he's a magical boy, with kitty ears and a tail . . . What else could I want in life?

5.) Hikaru Hitachiin from Ouran High School Host Club
I had to include someone from Ouran. Everyone who watched Ouran has a favorite host, and mine was Hikaru. *Spoilers* The episode where he goes on a date with Haruhi and he comforts her during the thunder storm made my heart melt. He's protective, funny, and a bit flirtatious as well, all great qualities, in my opinion.

I hope you guys enjoyed Day #3, my Anime Crushes. Share some of your anime or cartoon crushes in the comments below, I'd love to hear about the other fictional guys and girls that have you guy's heart. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

Elf Mascara Primer Review~!

Hey Guys~!

My Target recently added a bunch of new Elf products to their makeup section, so of course I bought a ton of products I've never tried before. I'd heard about this on YouTube a while ago, and had been searching for it for a while. Thankfully it was at Target and so today I'll be reviewing the Elf Mascara Primer. I did a lot of testing with this product and now I'm ready to review. So let's start~~!

The packaging is the classic black packaging that the products from the Elf Studio line come from. I like the matte finish of the packaging, I just think it looks nice. In the tube there is 0.09 fl oz of product, and I don't know if that's a lot or a little for this type of product.

On Elf's website, it says that the mascara primer will lengthen and volumize lashes, and conditions the lashes so they appear thicker and stronger. You may be wondering what ingredients in this allow it to strengthen and thicken lashes, I was too, and through reading I found this product contains Vitamin B5, Hydrolyzed Wheat and Soy Protein. Vitamin B5 stimulates growth. Hydrolyzed Wheat helps retain moisture and strengthen. Soy Protein nourishes and strengthens.  I can't really say if it's made my lashes stronger, since I have no clue how to test that, but I do think they look somewhat thicker after wearing this under my mascara for two weeks.

The wand for this primer is typical of a regular mascara. It is easy to get a majority of my lashes coated, but I can't get the lashes towards the inner corner of my eye with this or my bottom lashes.

Here's a before and after on me wearing the primer underneath some mascara. . .

With Primer

Without Primer
I can see a huge difference in volume in my lashes. They don't feel really dry like the lashes without the primer do.

I haven't seem many drugstore mascara primers, so to get this Elf one for only $3 instead of spending a ton on a high end primer, is amazing~! That's why I love Elf, you can get amazing gems for such inexpensive prices.

Packaging: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Formulation: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Lengthening: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Volumizing: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Price: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Overall: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

I absolutely love this mascara primer~!! It really does make my lashes look amazing with any mascara I use. If you are looking for a mascara primer, get this one and save your money. Also if you think getting a mascara primer is a waste, just try this and you'll see a huge difference.

I hope you guys enjoyed this review. If you have tried this product, or you have another Elf product you want me to review, let me know in the comments below. Thank you guy so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

Milani Bella Eyes {#1, #17, #25, and #27} Review~!

Hey Guys~!

After getting some neutral colors in the Milani Bella Eyes and reviewing them for you guys, I recently got some more colorful shadows. I went in with high hopes for these colorful shadows, and now after testing them I'll be sharing my opinions on them with you. So let's start~~!

As I said in my other review, I don't really like the packaging. I hate the cheap looking, gold, and clunky packaging that Milani uses. But I do like that it's really secure, unlike some drugstore shadows or compacts.

In my last review I also complimented Milani for the huge color selection of these shadows. There are both neutral and colorful shades, as well as a variety of finishes; matte, shimmery, metallic, etc.

The four shades I got are Ivory, Khaki, Cobalt, and Mandarin. Ivory is a cream color with a 'satin matte' finish, which is basically a lie since it's really shimmery. Satin matte is supposed to be matte with minimal shine, but this looks really glittery.

Khaki is warm toned olive green with a shimmery finish, and I really like the flecks of gold in it.

Cobalt is a dark denim blue with a satin matte finish. There is a good amount of shimmer in this one, but less shimmer than in Ivory.

Mandarin is a neutral toned orange color with a satin matte finish, with barely any shimmer.

I swatched these shadows both wet and dry, because the website recommends using them either way.

Here are the swatches dry. . .

They all are super pigmented, which I really like. I was surprised at how pigmented the orange was, cause I've tried other orange shadows that aren't really pigmented.

Here are the swatches wet . . .

Like last time, these shadows are amazing when wet. They're super creamy and insanely vibrant.

Each shadow is $4 a piece, and I only buy them when Milani is buy one get one 50% off. To buy four shadows costs $12 then, which is great for shadows this good quality.

Packaging: ♥ ♥ ♥
Texture: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Pigmentation: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Price: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Overall: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

It shouldn't be a surprise that I love these as much as the neutral colors. These colors are beautiful, and I've been enjoying adding these colors into my everyday makeup. My favorite has to be Mandarin, and I've loved wearing it in a variety of ways. So if you're looking for colorful eyeshadows, I would definitely recommend these for you to try.

I hope you guys enjoyed this review~! If you haven't seen my review of the neutral shades I own, {click here} to read it. If you would like to see a makeup tutorial using the more colorful shades, let me know in the comments below. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

30 Day Anime Challenge {Day #2 Anime You Re-Watch the Most}~!

Hey Guys~!

Who remembers me posting Day #1 and never finishing the challenge~? I decided to start this back up, since I do want you guys to learn more about me, besides what makeup I like and etc. Today I'm doing Day #2 for the 30 Day Anime Challenge, and if you guys enjoy it, I can continue the challenge, maybe posting a day once a week? Let me guys know what you would like. So let's start~~!

Day #2's Question is: What Anime do you Re-Watch the Most~?

For me, there is a tie between three anime, all of which I love but for different reasons. These anime are Ouran High School Host Club, Panty and Stocking With Garterbelt, and 11Eyes.

Let's start with Ouran~! I know everyone who has ever heard of anime has seen or heard of Ouran, and I think it was the third or fourth anime I'd ever seen. It's about this girl, Haruhi, who attends Ouran Academy through scholarship, and while trying to study runs into the Ouran High School Host Club where hilarity and romance ensue. I have watched it both subbed and dubbed, both casts are amazing, and I really just love the characters. If you like romantic comedy, this is a great one.

Now for a complete opposite, we have Panty and Stocking~! Warning, do not watch this if you are under the age of like 16, just cause it does have dirty humor, which I personally enjoy. Panty and Stocking is about two angels kicked out of Heaven and in order to get back they need to kill ghosts. The art style is really unique, and reminds me of Powerpuff Girls. This is basically Powerpuff Girls for adults. I have watched this show multiple times in order, or selected certain episodes, since there really isn't a central plot you need to follow.

Lastly we have one of my favorites of all time, 11Eyes~! I wish more people knew about this anime, it's amazing~! It's a psychological/action/horror anime about six friends who end up being transported into another dimension where they are being attacked. I can't say much else without spoiling, because there is a lot of mystery throughout the show. The characters are all really interesting, and you do grow attached to them through their struggle to survive.

Alright, that was Day #2~! I hope you guys enjoyed this post. Share some of your most re-watched anime in the comments below, I love having new recommendations of anime to watch. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

Fanatics MLB Outfit Challenge~!

Hey Guys~!

Today I'll be talking about Fanatics, which specializes in sports merchandise. They carry merchandise for a variety of sports teams, and the way their site is organized makes it easy to find exactly what your looking for in a style that fits your own. They asked for me to take a hat from Major League Baseball to create an outfit, {click here to view their site.} As a person who isn't super into sports, but enjoys piecing together an outfit, I had to accept this challenge. I'm really excited to share this outfit with you guys. So let's start~~!

♥ Hat - Fanatics
The outfit I put together uses a snap-back hat with the logo of the Baltimore Orioles~!! I chose this hat because in the summer I really like wearing snap-back hats. With summer soon approaching, I thought that my outfit would be something I'd wear in warmer weather. Also I love the color orange, and the hat has orange detailing.
♥ Top - Mod Cloth
I am in love with this shirt~! Honestly I saw this shirt before choosing my hat, and I just think it ties in the theme of the orioles, with the bird pattern, and with the orange accents, perfectly. I really want to go buy this shirt, and it absolutely fits my style of patterns on everything~! Seriously I love any kind of pattern on any type of clothing item.
♥ Shorts - H&M
I decided on shorts for this look, because I didn't want it to be super dressy, but a skirt would look nice with this too.  I like that they aren't distressed, since I think it would have been too much detail for the outfit. Also I like that they are high waisted, cause I would  definitely tuck the shirt into them.
♥ Shoes - H&M
For shoes, I wanted them to be cute as well as comfortable, since no one likes blisters or ugly sandals. I chose these flats cause of the interesting cut outs around the toes. I thought they looked super unique and that they added something interesting to the ensemble without being too much.
♥ Feather Necklace - Forever21
Continuing on with the bird theme, I thought this necklace would look really cool. This gold feather necklace wouldn't be a statement piece, and instead would be very dainty. With warm toned colors, like orange, I think gold jewelry looks best, so that's why I chose this necklace.
♥ Studded Purse - Forever21
The most important part about an outfit, in my opinion, is a purse. When I go out, I like my purse to match my outfit. This simple cross body bag with the stud detailing, I think compliments the look perfectly. The gold studding ties in with the necklace and the black goes with the overall color scheme.

I hope you all enjoyed my outfit~! I had a really fun time piecing it together and sharing my process with you guys. Tell me your favorite fashion or accessory piece in the comments below, I'd love to hear your opinions too. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

Fashion Trends I Just Can't Deal With~!

Hey Guys~!

So if you have an Instagram or any social media, you'll see a lot of pictures of a lot of different people at a lot of different events. Recently I've just seen certain fashion trends that some people wear that just bug me. Today I'll just be sharing my opinions on some trends that I just don't like. It's okay if you disagree and wear these, again these are just my opinions. So let's start~~!

Crop Top Turtleneck Sleeveless Sweater Things
First of all, what do you actually call these things? Seriously. Anyway I see a lot of pictures of girls wearing these in the spring and summer, and I just don't get it. Turtlenecks look bad on everyone. Sweaters are for the colder seasons. So why combine them and wear them when it's hot?! I just can't.

Flower Crowns
I feel like I'm going to get so much hate for this one, and I sort of do like these, but when they are tasteful. When they are made of giant flowers that take up your entire head, they look really dumb. You're not a fairy, I get that some fashion styles are fantasy/fairy inspired, but why cover your face/hair with flowers~!

Wearing a Neon Bra with a See Through/White Shirt
I swear people wear this just for attention. Whenever I see a girl wear this, they act so oblivious when they say, 'Why is everyone looking at my boobs?' And I just want to scream, 'CAUSE YOU PICKED A BRIGHT BRA AND A WHITE SHIRT?!' Like seriously, you know what you're wearing when you walk out the door, and probably looked at yourself at least once in your outfit. You knew what you were doing when you left the house this morning, don't lie.

Buying Expensive Distressed Jeans
I'm not hating on distressed jeans, I think they are really cute. But I don't understand why people buy really expensive jeans with holes and stuff in them. If I'm going to spend a lot of money on something, I want it to last as long as possible. Distressed jeans get more ruined the more you wear and wash them, so why spend a ton of money on something you'll need to replace. Please just buy cheap jeans and distress them on your own, unless you're a billionaire and don't care about where you throw your money.

Printed Leggings
I love wearing leggings as pants, they're really comfy. But when I see animal or any other crazy print on leggings, I cringe. I just think they look really tacky no matter how I see them styled. Also they were initially made for children. I get that some people have a youthful style, but on a child, the print doesn't stretch like it would on adult legs.

Ugly Sandals
I understand that some people prefer function over style, but who thought that wearing these as a good idea. The tan lines people get while wearing these make me cringe. I have never seen anyone make these look nice, and I just don't understand why someone would spend their money on these.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post~! If you agree with my opinions, or have some other fashion trends you think should be on this list, let me know in the comments below. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

April Favorites 2015~!

Hey Guys~!

April was a crazy month for me, Anime Boston and planning for college have been the major events going on. Now it is May, and with my birthday and final exams coming up I feel like I can't catch a break. Anyways, today I'll be sharing my monthly favorites with you guys. I have some new favorites to tell you guys about. So let's start~~!

*.Makeup :.。✯*
Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly B.B. Cream

With it finally getting warmer, I've gotten back into wearing B.B. Creams. My favorite one is from Holika Holika, and it has really nice coverage. Also it has SPF which protects my skin from the sun.

Milani Bella Eyes in Bella Taupe and Bella White

I've been wearing these two shadows together, white on the lid and taupe in the crease. It is my everyday look, and it always turns out looking great.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Antwerp

I got this a while ago, and now it is one of my rediscovered favorites. This color is a natural red toned nude color, and surprisingly I've been enjoying the matte formula.

*.Nail Polish :.。✯*
Essie's Petal Pusher

I got my nails painted this color at the salon this month, and now I really want to buy it. It's a cool toned grey color with purple undertones. This color is really wearable, and it lasted a really long time without chipping.

*.Skin Care :.。✯*
Simple Replenishing Moisturizer

I decided that it was time to try a new moisturizer, and since I like this company's makeup wipes,  I bought their moisturizer. It feels really lightweight and has no artificial fragrances or dyes.

*.Perfume :.。✯*
Daisy by Marc Jacobs

This has become my everyday perfume, and now I have it in a roller ball so I can carry it around. I just love how it smells and even the roller ball has cute packaging.

*.Anime :.。✯*
Nisekoi Season 2

I was so excited to see this anime got another season. So far I've been really enjoying it, and I think the animation looks so much prettier. I'm hoping this season will get farther into the plot, but we'l have to wait and see.

I hope you guys enjoyed hearing about my favorites from this past month. Please share some of your favorites with me in the comments below, I'd love to hear about what you guys are loving. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.
