Plaid French Manicure Tutorial~!

Hey Guys~!

I've grown my nails out, and now that they're longer I decided to do a french manicure tutorial. But this isn't like any french manicure you have ever seen. The design is a plaid french tip. Also I'll be adding a cute rose decal, but anything looks good with this. It is a bit harder than my other tutorials, but with practice it's quite easy. So let's start~~!

For This Tutorial You Will Need . . .
Base Coat
Nude Nail Polish
Two Nail Polishes of Your Choice
White Nail Polish
Glitter Nail Polish
Clear Top Coat
Nail Art Brush

First apply base coat, to protect your nails from staining and to strengthen them. Once that's dry, apply a nude polish to your nails. Depending on how opaque you want it, apply 1 - 3 coats, I used two. Wait for that to dry before continuing.

Next with a glitter polish, create a slight gradient on the bottom of the nail. I'm using a opalescent glitter, but use whatever suits the other colors you chose.

With one of your two polishes, I used a teal, and your nail art brush, make a line across each nail at the tip. Then make a teal line towards the tip on the right or left side of the nail. I switched between right and left on each nail.

Once that's dry take your other color, I used pink, and I cleaned my nail art brush, to make a line next to your vertical teal line. Then make a line on the opposite side. Wait for that to dry.

This is optional, but I added a rose decal on my ring finger and thumb nails. I waited for my nail to dry and then placed the sticker on with tweezers. To seal it, I applied clear top coat on the nails with the sticker.

Lastly I applied clear top coat to all of my nails to seal in the design and add a pretty shine~!

I hope you all enjoyed today's nail art tutorial~! If you have any requests for future nail art tutorials, leave them for me in the comments below. Also if you try out this design, share it with me,  my social media links are down below. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

Favorites and Hate Its: Elf Cosmetics~!

Hey Guys~!

On one of my recent makeup tutorials, I was asked what my favorite Elf products are. Elf, or Eyes Lips Face, is an inexpensive makeup line and I have tried a lot of their products. Besides telling you what I like from the line, I thought I'd also include some products that I dislike, in a series I'm now calling, Favorites and Hate Its. Keep in mind, my least favorite products could be your favorites, everyone's skin is different, so makeup will work differently on different people. So let's start~~!

imageimage Favorites

Eyeshadow Primer

This is my favorite primer for eyeshadow. It evens out the color of my lids and helps my eyeshadows last all day. The colors stay vivid without creasing. And it only costs a dollar. Other primers are really expensive, even at the drugstore, so this is great if you want equally as good quality.

Mascara Primer

I used to think primers for lashes was dumb, and now that I use it I can't live without it. It makes my lashes thicker and longer for mascara, and it looks like I have false lashes on. As a person who has issues with false lashes, this is great to get the look of volumized lashes without accidentally gluing my eye shut.

Studio Blushes

These were my first blushes, and I still love them. They blend smoothly, have great pigmentation, and offer a beautiful shine. I have Candid Coral and Twinkle Pink, and I love them both. If you like a nice sheen from your blushes, these are great to try. I don't usually like shimmer in blushes, but the shimmer in these creates a "healthy skin look" if that makes sense.

Studio Brushes

If you're looking for good quality brushes that are inexpensive, then these are great. I have some face brushes and eye brushes, both are great. They cost only $3 a piece, and you may think they're bad, but I've never had them irritate my skin or shed hairs. Also the variety of brushes in this line is insane, there is literally a brush for everything.

Matte Lipsticks

This shouldn't be that much of a surprise, since one of my favorite lipsticks does come from this line. I have two shades, Coral and Tea Rose, which is my favorite. They are twist up and packaged like a lip pencil. The formula isn't drying like most matte lipsticks are for me.

Essentials Face Brushes

Basically these are the exact opposite of the Studio Brushes. They shed. They scratch my skin. They overall ruin my makeup. I've thrown mine out, because I have no use for them. However, only the face brushes are bad. I use the eyeshadow brushes a ton and they're great.

Brightening Eyeliner

I'm always looking for a good white eyeliner for my inner corner and waterline. This one has no pigmentation at all. It's really shimmery, but it also doesn't wear long. I tried using this in the inner corner and then setting it with an eyeshadow, but it still doesn't do anything. And I just found out the white is discontinued. . .

Studio Concealer

The shade I have is called Ivory, but it's a pink beige color that's too dark for me. The formula is really thick and drying, so no matter where I put it, it doesn't blend. It's too heavy for under the eyes, and on the face it doesn't look good under or on top of foundation.

Flawless Face Powder

The shade for this is also Ivory, and this time the color is yellow. The texture is really chalky and doesn't blend well. I've tried to find some use for this, but it doesn't work as an all over setting powder, it can't set my under eye area, and it's not pigmented enough to use as an eyeshadow.

I hope you guys enjoyed my first Favorites and Hate Its. If you've tried any Elf products, share your opinions on them here in the comments, I love hearing you guys' opinions. Also, what brand would you like to see next, I can do L'Oreal or Wet n' Wild next. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

Love x Hate Tag~!

Hey Guys~!

Today I have a tag for you guys, the Love x Hate Tag. The name basically explains the tag, name ten things you love and ten that you hate. Then nominate ten other bloggers to do the tag. I was nominated by Kelly, thanks sweetie. I thought this would be a great way for you guys to learn more about me. So let's start~~!

•☆.•*´¨`*••♥ 10 Things I Love ♥••*´¨`*•.☆•

 image Singing

I've always loved singing. I started taking lessons when I was three and I joined multiple choruses, both outside of school and in school. In elementary and middle school, I sang at my school talent show, and in high school I did more musical theater. My dream was to be on American Idol, but that show went downhill. Recently singing has become less of a serious hobby. Like everyone else, I jam out in the car, or in the shower. Honestly I sing whenever, like I'm a Disney princess.

 image Cosplay

I started cosplaying three years ago, and I can't imagine my life without it. Cosplay combines my interests in anime with my hobbies such as sewing. I've met so many cool people and had so much fun hanging at conventions with my friends. This year I got more into cosplay photography and I really enjoy doing photo shoots now.

image Figure Skating

About four years ago I started skating lessons. At my lessons my teacher began showing me some figure skating moves, so now I take figure skating lessons. Skating makes me feel free, and I enjoy learning new tricks. The first time you do a new trick correctly, it's the most rewarding feeling. Also I love just racing as fast as I can around the rink, it feels great.

image Friends

I'm one of those people that likes having a small group of friends rather than a large group, because I prefer being close with all of them. My friends and I can do just about anything and have a great time, whether it's playing video games, having deep discussions about life, or anything in between,  I enjoy being with them and they can always make me smile.

image Antique Shopping

I've always liked the look of antiques, not matter how ruined it is. My parents are super into antique shopping, so I often go with them. I've learned how to tell if something is worth something and now I'm on the hunt for perfume bottles and a tea set. I really want an antique tea set, I just think they look so classy.

image Organizing Things

My Amazon wishlist and my makeup collection are both constantly being reorganized and I love doing that. It's just easier to find what I'm looking for if everything is organized by categories. Also in school I love color coding everything. In my planner, I have a different color for each subject when I fill in due dates.

image Video Games

Ever since I can remember, I played video games. I grew up playing Pokemon, Legend of Zelda, Super Smash Bros, Mario, etc. Whenever I have a hard day, I love playing any video game because it helps me forget about what happened and then I get gamer rage. Also I love playing games with my friends, we get super competitive.

image Braiding Hair

Compared to the rest of my list, this may seem random. I usually don't like styling hair, but I always found braiding relaxing. Most of the time I braid my hair before I go to bed, and it helps me calm down. Also I like braiding other people's hair. This is when I should say I can only do a basic braid, nothing fancy.

image DC and Marvel Comics, TV Shows, and Movies

Growing up, I was really into superhero tv shows and movies. I still love them and now I'm also reading comics. I like both DC and Marvel, so I can't choose a favorite. I've always liked Batman and Teen Titans, from DC, and I love X-Men and Avengers, from Marvel.

 image image Playing with Animals

I have a problem with animals. Whenever I see a dog, I have to go pet it. I love animals, and when I'm with one, I feel super relaxed. I have a black cat named Genevieve who is the sweetest thing. She follows me around and lets me carry her. I have other friends with pets, and when I'm at their houses, I love playing with their pets.

•☆.•*´¨`*••♥ 10 Things I Hate ♥••*´¨`*•.☆•

 image Coffee

I have a hard time staying awake and people always tell me to just drink coffee. But the taste has always bothered me. It's always bitter, no matter what flavor it is or what I put into it. I've never been able to drink it, and it just frustrates me when I need to stay awake and nothing helps.

 image Alarm Clocks

Let me explain this, I hate alarm clocks when they wake me up. I know that's the purpose of an alarm clock, but if I wake up before my alarm, I feel more refreshed and awake, if I wake up with my alarm, I'm significantly more tired and grumpy.

image Jeans

They just never fit me. It doesn't matter the store where I buy them, the style, or the material, they never fit. I have a small waist and wide hips, so nothing fits right. I just live in leggings and skirts, which I don't mind, but sometimes I would like to wear jeans.

image Hypocrites

No one likes them. When some tells me something that I'm doing is stupid and then they do it, it frustrates me. This is especially so with my hobbies and interests, cosplay, dolly fashion, etc. I just wish people could be honest and accept each other rather than be hypocrites.

image "Gamer Girl" Stereotype

As a gamer, I've had multiple people tell me that I'm 'gaming for attention' or that 'I'm just playing games so guys will like me.' This frustrates me because girls can be equally as much a fan as guys in terms of video games, and the assumption that girls play games to get guys' attention is dumb.

image Shipping Costs

When I'm online shopping, I find something I like that's inexpensive, and it has a $10+ shipping cost. Why is that a thing? Why don't online stores just put the shipping cost with the price of the product and show just the total cost? It would save me from getting my hopes up.

image Rude People on Public Transportation

Recently I've had to take the train during rush hour to get to class. The train is crowded, and yet there are some people who just can't think about anyone else. Yesterday I was next to a couple making out and a rude lady who yelled at everyone. You're not in your private limo, so suck it up and keep to yourselves.

image Close Minded People

Self explanatory.

image People You Don't Know Asking You For Gum

I chew gum in class, and I hate it when I go into my bag secretively to get a new piece and then people, who normally don't talk to me, ask for gum. I'm sorry, if you only want gum, go to the store and buy a pack. I'm no one's gum dispenser.

image image People that Make Fun of my Height

I'm really short, I've always been short. People often squat down so they're shorter than me and say, 'So this is what it's like being you.' Or people use my head as an arm rest. It pisses me off, because it's not something I can change, and I don't make fun of anyone for being tall.

•☆.•*´¨`*••♥ My Nominations ♥••*´¨`*•.☆•

I hope you guys enjoyed today's tag post~! Even if I didn't nominate you, feel free to do this tag too, it's fun~!! If you do, leave me a link to your post in the comments, I'd love to read them. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

30 Day Anime Challenge {Day #15 Anime You Want to See but Haven't Yet}~!

Hey Guys~!

We are half way through our challenge, and I'm already upset cause it feels like it's ending soon
(っ- ‸ – ς) Anyways today I'll be talking about three anime I want to see but haven't watched yet. Hopefully I'll see them this summer and if I do, you'll probably hear about it in a future post. So let's start~~!

Your Lie in April

I have heard about this all over the internet and from my friends, and I just know I'll love this. The plot is about this music prodigy, Kousei Arima, who has a mental breakdown and quits piano after his mother dies. Upon meeting a free spirited violinist, Kaori Miyazono, Kousei begins reentering the music world, and with Kaori's help learns to let go. This anime is described as a romantic tragedy, which is like a double ended sword because it sounds like a feel good anime, but with a depressing ending. I will begin it this month, so we'll see what I think of it.

Sailor Moon Crystal

I am rekindling my love of Sailor Moon, and I've been rewatching the old anime. For some reason I just haven't watched the new version, Sailor Moon Crystal. I hear that it visually looks really nice and that there will be another season coming up, which makes me happy because I hate falling in love with an anime and then finding out there isn't another season in the works. Also I heard that there is less filler in this version, which is nice.

Another

I am a fan of horror anime, so I'm surprised that I haven't checked this one out, since the plot does interest me. It is about a school, where in 1972, a student died, and afterwards everyone pretended she was still alive. In 1998 a new transfer student comes and notices that everyone is ignoring one girl. Soon after people begin dying in mysterious ways and everyone is trying to solve the mystery. This just sounds right up my alley, and I now want to go watch it~!!

I hope you guys enjoyed today's post~! Leave me a comment sharing what anime you think I should watch, I always love hearing your suggestions. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.
